A great date night

Tonight Bryant and I took a ride on the Staten Island Ferry. It's free and takes us right by the Statue of Liberty. I don't think I'll ever get tired of looking at that. It's an amazing symbol of our country. There is nothing like it anywhere. I'm so glad I was raised in such a way that I respect and love our country. I value what it has to offer. I think that if each child was raised in such a way, politics would be a lot simpler.

The Ferry was a lot of fun though. We timed it perfectly so that we looked out over the skyline and the Statue right as the sun was setting. It was beautiful! I can't believe the sun was setting at 4:30 pm. It's so early. It's no wonder I'm tired all the time. My day is ending and it's already dark before dinner time. Strange. But it makes a great sunset. I love New York and all it has to offer. It's still weird to me to look at this place and call it home, but I'm loving my time here.

Welcome to my fog...I mean blog!

I've never been an avid blogger, but with family and friends so far away, it's hard to keep everyone posted on our life out here in the Big Apple. I love to take pictures and share them with everyone, so keep checking!
We have definately hit New York running. We've been to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and balloon inflation the night before, the American Museum of natural History, Time's Square, and Rockafeller Center. We've listened to a concert in Central Park, been to a Mets game and our first Hockey Game. It's been great. I made it on TV for Good Morning America and Tyra Banks. We are enjoying the city and all it has to offer.

Our apartment is cozy and feels very homey...in fact that's the one comment we always get is how "homey" it feels. I think it's just because we don't have 3 med students shoved in here with all their stuff. And I painted it green. I love it. I smile every time I walk in the door. If anyone finds themselves in this neck of the woods, you have a place to stay. We would love to see you.
